Fall Meeting Plans - Auction Success!

Hello all and thank you for your turn out at our last meeting September 30th.  Lots of great items up for auction and lots of support for our club! Everyone’s generosity and sense of fun is greatly appreciated.  Thank you also to those who brought their own or extra chairs to ensure everyone had a place to sit.  We are always open to considering new meeting locations but as we’ve discussed we have not found a better location than the Mendenhall Plantation.  As preservers of history, we get to help support the Plantation and they in turn support our efforts as well. I hope other clubs have the opportunity to meet in a historic location as we do!

Due to multiple factors in the fall, our schedule will be changing slightly.  Our last regular meeting until January will be October 28th, 2017, at 9 AM.   We will have a special speaker about arrowheads, one of the many types of items you can come across while detecting in the area.

In November, you can come out to the Persimmon Festival in Colfax, where club members will be there to share our love of metal detecting and give you a chance to try it for yourself!  We’ll share some interesting finds and answer any questions you have about the hobby or our club.  See more about the festival herehttp://colfaxpersimmonfest.com/

There will be no regular club meeting in November or December.  We will have our annual holiday meeting on a Saturday in early December, date is to be determined at this time.  All current members in good standing (dues paid) are welcome to join us for breakfast, paid for by the club.  More details as they are available, it is a great time and usually a small gift exchange is part of the fun.

We hope to see you at our October meeting or out and about at the Persimmon Festival!
